John 21:25 – Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

askMe02When people die, we reflect back on their lives and look at their accomplishments. When a celebrity dies, some people even wait until the day they return. John records that Jesus did so much that if everything Jesus did were written down, there  wouldn’t be enough room in this world to store all of the books. That’s not hard to conceive when you look at the scripture. Jesus has been around before the words “Let us” were spoken in (Genesis 1:26). So from “Let us” to “It’s Finished” (John 19:30) Jesus performed many miraculous things for us.

Can you imagine recording everything someone did for thousands of years in some books? I can understand why John said there wouldn’t be enough room to store all of the records. The great part about it is, He is still doing miraculous things to this day. How? Because He isn’t dead!

So on this day, all the way up to Sunday, people will be celebrating Easter (I prefer “Resurrection Day”). Look past all the commercialization of this great day. Look past all the new clothes and all the eggs hidden in the bushes. Speaking of hidden eggs. When you really want Jesus to be the Lord of your life, it’s easier than looking for those eggs when you try to find Him.

Look past all the man-made facets of celebrating Jesus’ resurrection and look into how blessed you are that someone came and died, voluntarily, for you. After you look into it, I pray you realize it is a gift that no man will ever be able to match. I pray you see all of the things He’s done for you and praise His name. I pray you will accept Jesus as your Savior, obey His commands and be saved so you can be a part of His kingdom.
