It is amazing how much strength we gain when we humble ourselves and realize how important the Lord’s wisdom, power and sovereignty is in our everyday lives. Yes we get up and go to work, school and take on many tasks in one day. We are successful in our careers and endeavors. We move around, breath, see, taste, smell and hear. These natural functions have been taken for granted and we forget that something as simple as breathing wouldn’t be possible if it was for the Lord’s spirit.

Jesus told us that He is the vine and we are the branches. If we aren’t connected to Him we can’t do anything (John 15:5). It is also written that God exalts the humble. So as of today, we need to always remember who is responsible for us getting up and being able to do something as simple as remembering our names to Him giving us the answer to a complex situation. He is our God and we are able to function by His Spirit.
