Friends don’t let friends go through life without taking them to a man who can heal and deliver them from their sins. There are no barriers, prejudices, excuses or anything else that would stop a friend from bringing a friend to our friend, Jesus!
17 One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick. 18 Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. 19 When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus. 20 When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”
No matter how messed up you THINK you are. Jesus will still forgive your sins and heal you.
12 While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” 13 Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.
To the world, the people who don’t have a relationship with God, hoping in a God you can’t see is foolish. Hoping for promises that are thousands of years old would be considered as grounds for spending time in a mental institution.
To those who hope in the only living God, The Great I Am, The Great Jehovah…keep hoping because He won’t let you be ashamed for the hope you have in Him.
No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause. (Psalm 25:3 NIV)
MATTHEW 5:10-12 – Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
What if there’s a plan to round up all people who lift the name of Jesus through prayer, preaching, teaching, posting it on Facebook, talking about Him on my job, at the grocery store, on the street, in the jails and everywhere else?
What if there’s a plan to strip me of my possessions if I claim my faith in Jesus? What if I am threatened with imprisonment and death if I don’t deny Jesus? Read more
Many people did believe in him, however, including some of the Jewish leaders. But they wouldn’t admit it for fear that the Pharisees would expel them from the synagogue. For they loved human praise more than the praise of God. – John 42:43
Unfortunately, there is some of us who believe in Jesus but won’t admit it when called upon to express our belief. There were people who saw what Jesus did, believed what Jesus said and accepted the fact that He was the Messiah, but because of pressure from their habitats, they wouldn’t admit it. What were those pressures? Back then, they had the fear of being expelled from the synagogues or other places that denoted prestige. This fear placed them in pressurized situations which led to them seeking the approval and praises of humans over God. Read more
Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal. (Isaiah 26:4 NIV)
Trusting in the Lord is a trait, or habit that everyone should strive to achieve. There are so many benefits to be enjoyed when we learn to fully trust Him and trust Him forever.
It takes trust to wait on the Lord. And when when we wait, we are blessed with the strength to endure trials and setbacks. – Isaiah 40:31. Sometimes trusting can be difficult, but we have to persevere (stick with it) like Job did in the midst of catastrophes. – Job 13:15
When I was a boy, I used to pick up a rock and wonder how old that rock was. The Lord is referred to as a Rock. Back then, I came to the conclusion that the rock I picked up had been around probably since the earth was formed. If I’m going to trust in a god, that god is going to be the only True and Living God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob because He has been around a very long time.
Dear Lord of all Lords, I pray for the desire of trusting you and you only will sweep this nation. Because you are the only one who can right the many wrongs in our lives and in this world. ~ Amen
